Article: WAP, a new way for the marketing

In the last years a boom is observed in the so called ones
Information technologies. All this leads to the appearance of
new skills and concepts in the field of Marketing. This way in
the actuality is already habitual to speak about CRM (Customer
Relationship Management), Permission marketing, marketing
online... A new so called way joins all this
WAP on which perfectly these can be applied
concepts and other specifics that will be born.

What is WAP? his English denomination Wireless Application
Protocol alludes to a new communication protocol
that allows the creation and adaptation of similar pages

to those of Internet, but inside the world of the devices
portable such like mobile phones, electronic agendas...

All this takes us to the creation of contents and services
specifics for these devices which opens a fan to us
of new possibilities of business.

Nevertheless although the beginning is the same we have not to
to think that WAP is equal to Internet since this can
to lead to us to big disappointments. Although big part of
disadvantages will be settled in the next months in
the actuality the system is limited by the speed
of information transfer 9,6 Kbps opposite to the 56
offered by a conventional phone line. The size
of the screen and the aptitude to store information of
these mobile devices also are two big ones
disadvantages. Nevertheless it is foreseen that was doing
summer of this 2001 there will appear the phones that come to
to substitute the current GSM. These new called terminals
2,5 generation are already in the beginning so called GPRS and
it is foreseen that they equal the speed of transference of information of
the conventional lines, they will possess major screens... Even
this way the difference in the computer language between WAP and
Internet they will do that these keep on being different.

Once described briefly of that WAP consists we can
to analyze that it has applications for the Marketing.

If we join this new technological progress with previously
named CRM appears what is called the communication
"one to one" personalized across portable devices
"Mobile Marketing". These new devices allow us
a direct communication with our client with whole
personalización of the messages (we send the information to
a person who knows in advance who is, what he likes.

What allows us to do to him to come a specific agreement offer
with his tastes and needs). This communication in addition to
to be infinitely more economic than across any other
way allows an immediate feedback, that is to say, ours

Nevertheless, we must not think that Mobile Marketing consists

renewal that the mobile phone to had is foreseeable that before

Conventional Internet with what we can be sure that it is
a very important way to be born in mind.

Management and development of networks, the Netweaving

"The number of possible interconnections that take place in
a network grows much more rapid than the number of individuals
that form it", this is the base of the so called "effect network".
The effect network comes to say that when a network is
sufficiently big, the inclusion of a new member
it causes a big utility for this one and nevertheless, the disutility
that would provoke the disappearance of some of the members
it becomes smaller. It obviously causes that to
measurement that the network makes bigger to itself, the possibility
of that some of his members acquires positions
monopolistic it diminishes. The effect network is a concept

much more clear than it could seem since
the exchanges realized in a reliable environment go
to be simpler, cheaper (cost decrease
of deal) and more appellants.

The networks creation or rather the vertical development
(towards different levels of the chain of value) and horizontal
(at the same level of the chain) about the same ones one knows
as Netweaving ("to weave networks" in Spanish).
The potency of the Netweaving is defined by the potency

Internet, they will cause that the entry of any competitor
with a product slightly separated from the previous one, suppose
the notable and rapid loss of a clientele that at first
it was thought made faithful. Finally, the network allows that
relations are narrower, that the collaboration is more
deep and that they all, companies and consumers, obtain
major benefit, but this only takes place when
the management of the relations is adapted, of not being like that,
the network turns into a danger, into a double-edged weapon,
in the obligation to be permanently alert to the changes,
finally, in the need for an orientation to the market
at internal level (the proper organization) and day pupil (I remain of
nodes of the network).

How must the managerial strategies appear
of the organizations with presence in the network? The strategies
of Marketing of the companies they will have to concentrate in
principal nodes. These nodes are those that they constitute
example to be continued for the rest of existing similar nodes in
the network. In any type of network, for example in a group of
friends, there always exists an individual who acts like leader and to

which the rest continues. In an electronic network also it happens.
In this sense the company will have to analyze the network for
to locate who or who are the nodes leaders to try
to gain him his confidence and with it that of the rest of the network. For
example, a network can be formed about a group
musical, well, in the above mentioned network there exists a node that it operates
as "center of gravity", the official page of the group, and to

which all the rest nodes can get connected, apart,
different nodes of the network keep in touch across
means provided by the official page (network structure
centralized) or alternative others (network structures
decentralized). If the creators of the official page

The relations development in network is not an easy task but
business possibilities are very high. The difficulty rests
in diverse aspects:
To evaluate the values that cohexionan to the network, to evaluate
aptitude of the company to be identified by these values,
to identify the principal nodes and to gain him his confidence, and
with it those of the rest of the network.
With it the company will have the aptitude to exploit
the possibilities of the network, nevertheless it does not mean
that is quite made, since this capacity of to be
really used. For it the company must collaborate
closely with the users of the network (included
stakeholders such like providers, Administración,
competitors, shareholders, etc.) so that they are these
who in fact determine the evolution of
typical of the product, it is more, they should be the users
of the network, included company, who will prepare big part of
the contents of the pages. Thus the implication of
the users in the operative and strategic dynamics of the business
it will constitute a network perfectly cohexionada in that
members of the group feel all, ideal for his suitable one
commercial development.

Finally, shared values, collaboration, confidence,

the business strategies of the companies that work
or want to be employed at network.
