I articulate: 4 design elements to have an effective communication in our web.
The good web design begins with 4 elements of the effective communication.
The accessibility means to send invitations and appear in the holiday. The human beings like relating and we like receiving invitations (except to judgments and these things). On every page of your web and in every element of advertizing material of your empersa there must be an invitation to contact you for several methods between which of course it must be Internet. Once you put your name there out, make sure that your clients can find you.
Accessibility also means to appear in. There are million potential clients there the fact was that they would like meeting you. If you do not appear in the holiday the two have lost the opportunity. First, it creates a web with the name of your emprea as url. Then, do the humanly possible thing for depositing your web in the principal searchers. It is verified that most of new clients will find you using one of 3 or 4 principal searchers. It is VITAL that you achieve that your web is in the principal searchers and that it appears between the first results when the potential client does a search for the word related to your company.
Once you have done this, congratulations, have a web and the genet can be. Unfortunately, this is where many companies end, when this must be the beginning. The communication is an interaction, once you have a web and the clients begin appearing, you can begin the dialogue.
It eliminates discrepancies between what you say of printed form and what you say visually. What is what your web communicates visually? Is it the same as what it is expressing in the bookform material? Are the messages the same ones? If you are sending difficult messages none will be received. "An image costs for 1.000 words", but the case is that your potential client can use any word that the quiera. As every individual looks at your web, catalog or leaflet, they are writing the only text in his mind. For what we can only wait is that the words that they write in his mind are good for our company. He chooses your words and images carefully.
An example: Recently I visited a web (the name must remain anonymous) This web to sell services of restoration of ancient furniture and rare furniture. The visual element on his principal page was a gif animated by 2 cowboys shooting guns. The slogan were: "we will shoot a good agreement to you” in red letters. For a moment I was thinking about being in a web of secondhand vans.
The technical element is the "method of mailing". This is the part where the designers get excited more. "Let's put Real Audio, video, animation, fund sounds, plugins in flash, presentations of slides...." Woof, friend, take it calmly! Does all that squeeze the band or helps to communicate your message? Or is your ego alone? He remembers: the majority we are using a thin thread of copper that comes from the street and goes to the average hearth. This cable is designed to carry enough information as pair to duplicate the human voice but it does not orchestrate it of information that it transports nowadays. He insists on the essentials and you cannot be wrong. He writes well and clean HTML. It uses Java Scripts and applests, frames and gifs cheered up when there is no another remedy to communicate your message. Testea your code with the different navigators and speed of modem to assure the compatibility. In some cases this will limit the cratividad but, remember, it is a question of communication, not of creativity!
. (Many of the graphic designers will stop reading here!).
He listens to your clients. It facilitates the contact with a real person of your web. It uses answer forms, email, phone, fax, signs of smoke, semaphores... what is to facilitate and to stimulate the feedback. It provides answers in 24 hours to the clients interested on his needs. He remembers: the client always has the reason.
The webs that do not have four elements of the effective communication are equivalent to the shops that close his doors in working hours. The business is simply to harm!
